Dr. Melissa Gastellum received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and her Bachelor of Arts from Smith College.  Soon after receiving her B.A., she became interested in medicine and embarked on a path that included working as an EMT and a veterinary technician, as well as studies in athletic training before discovering Naturopathic medicine.  Naturopathic medicine blends the science of western medicine with the philosophy and treatments of natural medicine. She was drawn to this profession because of its emphasis on treating the whole person and not only their symptoms, and trusting in the ability of the body to heal itself.  Dr. Gastellum specializes in classical homeopathy, constitutional hydrotherapy, clinical nutrition and lifestyle counseling.  

Dr. Gastellum recently completed a postgraduate internship at True North Health in Santa Rosa, California.

She is licensed in California and is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and California Naturopathic Doctors Association.
